Product Details

These baskets are made of Hogla Seagrass and come in a set of 3 (one size / round shape) in the original dried Hogla colour. When dried this strong material is woven into beautiful baskets. The simple and minimalistic shape of these baskets is functional and decorative at the same time. You can store herbs, wooden kitchen spoons and kitchen towels in it or use them as planters.

The Hogla baskets are ethically made and sourced in Bangladesh.

All products are handcrafted from 100% natural and eco-friendly materials. They can slightly vary in size, shape and colour but are all 100% original.

The handwoven baskets are made by rural men from Bangladesh who travel to the capital city to find work between seeding and harvest time. This producer provides these workers a place to stay, other basic needs and a fair price. This is important because many travel to the capital to find work, get underpaid and have to sleep on the streets. This producer is certified Fair Trade according to Ecota Fair Trade Forum in Bangladesh and in process of becoming a WFTO Fair Trade member.
